Challenge

During a production ramp-up, speed and quality must grow hand in hand to achieve required yield— but conventional quality assurance creates long delays. With aging tests taking more than a week, engineers have no timely feedback on whether process adjustments were working. This not only slowed down the ramp-up but also led to high scrap rates, as defective cells moved too far downstream before being identified. Every week of delayed feedback meant wasted capacity, higher material losses, and mounting costs.​

Limatica Approach

LIMATICA is partnering with a manufacturer to integrate its Test Station into the ramp-up workflow. The target is clear: Replacing week-long diagnostics with a 30-minute voltage-noise based test, quality feedback will become available almost instantly. Engineers will be able of validating process changes within the same shift instead of waiting days. This will close the feedback loop between production and quality assurance, allowing rapid fine-tuning of cell formation and finishing.
