About the Role

Who We Are 🌍

Limatica is a young and dynamic startup revolutionizing the battery diagnostics space. Our mission? Bring battery cell quality to the next level and drastically reduce scrap rates using our own proprietary measurement method. Instead of weeks of testing, our technology enables deep battery diagnostics within minutes.

After founding the company and developing our first prototype in 2023, we secured pilot partners, Pre-Seed funding, and built our first core team during 2024 and 2025. In 2026, we are entering the market and scaling — and we are looking for people who want to build technology, not just maintain it.

We’re not a company with rigid hierarchies or repetitive routines. At Limatica, you’ll be part of a fast-moving, close-knit team where ideas are heard, ownership is expected, and every day brings new technical challenges and learning opportunities. You won’t just work for us — you’ll grow with us.

What You’ll Do 🌟

As a Signal Processing Engineer / Measurement Data Analyst, you’ll take part in shaping the core of our technology by analyzing, developing, and improving how we process and interpret measurement data. You’ll work closely with hardware, engineering, and software teams to translate raw measurement signals into valuable insights and more efficient diagnostics.

Your Key Responsibilities 🛠️

  • Develop and apply advanced signal processing and data analysis methods for measurement data

  • Design and implement feature extraction and feature engineering approaches for diagnostic algorithms

  • Support development and optimization of signal evaluation and analysis pipelines

  • Analyze signal quality, noise behavior, and measurement system performance

  • Collaborate on signal processing, data science, and modeling projects internally and with partners

  • Contribute to statistical evaluation, validation, and testing of measurement methods

  • Support development of automated data analysis and validation workflows

  • Work cross-functionally with hardware, embedded, and software teams to improve measurement quality and reliability

What We’re Looking For 🕵️‍♀️

We’re looking for a curious and motivated engineer or data specialist who is excited about turning complex measurement signals into meaningful insights. You don’t need to check every single box — what matters most is your analytical thinking, technical curiosity, and willingness to learn, push forward and grow.

Your essential qualifications

  • Strong foundation in analog and digital signal processing

  • Experience with feature engineering and signal feature extraction

  • Strong Python skills, especially using scientific libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, SciPy, pandas, NumPy)

  • Methodical and structured in technical problem solving

  • Creative and exploratory when analyzing measurement behavior

  • Systematic approach to data analysis and validation

  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to develop structured methodologies

Further qualifications can be an advantage

  • Experience with modeling, ideally including physics-informed approaches

  • Knowledge of classification and regression methods

  • Experience with time series analysis, spectral methods, or frequency-domain analysis

  • Experience with real-time or near-real-time signal processing

  • Understanding of statistical hypothesis testing and uncertainty evaluation

  • Understanding of measurement systems, calibration concepts, and error sources

  • Domain knowledge in battery technology, electrochemistry, or energy systems

  • Experience working with measurement equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, DAQ systems, lab instrumentation)

  • Experience working in industrial or production environments

  • Experience with automated testing and validation workflows

  • Experience using Git or similar version control systems
